AndroidDose.com is changing its focus, we will still bring you news and reviews as they come in but lets be honest, there are a billion Android news sites and more popping up everyday. I say if you want the latest in Android news you should head over to AndroidGuys.com or AndroidAndMe.com those 2 sites have the news game on lock down and post some really good articles! So since I feel that competition is just a little crowded in the sea of blogs I am changing the focus of AndroidDose.com to a community sourced opinion and editorial site. What does this mean to you? Our articles remain the intellectual property of their respective author and that ANYONE that wants to share their opinion can contact me and we will get your article published for everyone to see. We will from time to time continue to post news and reviews though as it has in recent months will not be our main source of articles. I hope to grow this to involve many different authors with varying opinions from around the world. Is there a catch? NOPE!!! ok well there might be one… I from time to time use some explicit language and would like to see that any authors limit (notice I didn’t say eliminate) explicit language. I will not edit articles so your bad grammar and structure will remain your own unless you ask me or my associate editor to review it, in which case you will be required to “approve” it before it is published, As I said the articles will remain the authors intellectual property. So please step up to the podium and take the mic the Android Community wants to hear what you have to say!

Notion Ink has announced that Pre Orders for their widely anticipated Android Powered Adam Tablet are available now and will ship with Gingerbread (Android’s latest version, 2.3)! As many had speculated that the mystery feature would be an NFC chip their dreams were shot down, Company CEO Rohan Shravan stated in the blog post today that Adam will not have an NFC chip but that its next product Eve will feature an NFC chip. Rohan also said that the Mystery Feature is going to remain a mystery at least for the time being, going on to say
The Mystery Feature. It will still be a mystery! One of my wish was to design a product where every fortnight you can receive a new update which isn’t just a security bug fix, but a discovery of something which already existed, sort of un-locking a part. This is my first attempt on the same lines!
Notion Ink will also offer the Adam in 6 different variations, a basic LCD (non-Pixel Qi) WiFi only version for $375.33 the same with a 3G Modem will be $425.33, the Pixel Qi (transflective screen technology) version with WiFi only will run $499.45 and with 3G at $549.00. They also list an 850 and 900 Series for the transflective versions but no details on pricing, feature differences or availability. Continue reading “Pre Order your Notion Ink Adam – NOW! The LG Optimus T and Motorola Defy Android powered smartphones are available from the nation’s largest retailer for very reasonable amounts! Both phones are being billed as Entry level devices to bring customers from the Feature phones into the Smartphone fold. Being sold at a retailer like Walmart really helps T-Mobile get into the hands of more American’s with little up front cost to them. T-Mobile is gaining some 3800 retail locations, depending on how many actual Walmart locations will carry the phones. Continue after the breat. I was so glad to see a wonderful little box left on my doorstep by UPS today, It was my Logitech Revue with GoogleTV! I like many others have been waiting for this since Google’s announcement at I/O earlier this year. First impressions are pretty good, its not perfect by any means but such is the life of an early adopter, It was very easy to install and the keyboard is pretty good, I would like to see a rechargable battery pack/charging station accessory some time in the future as of right now it runs on 2 AA batteries, Setup was easy as pie just followed the on screen prompts and it only took about 10-15 minutes with a system update. Without further ado I’ll let you take a look at this sleek little device…
