Behind The Mirrored Lenses…

Before writing any actual articles or giving any color commentary (which is what my writings will be most of the time anyway), I wanted to introduce myself. So take a seat, sip on a drink and relax. I promise this won’t take long.

I learned about the Android platform when a friend of mine introduced me to his G1 over two years ago.  Compared to my AT&T Tilt, it was like a DVD compared to VHS.  I could tell that Android would take off, and I wanted in on the deal.  I ended up purchasing a G1 for myself sometime later, and have been a loyal Android supporter ever since.

So what can I do to “give back” to this awesome community?  The one thing I figured I could do fairly easily:  Give my opinions and commentary on various hardware, software, and general Android news.  Now I understand that everyone is different; where one person will agree with me, there’s another that won’t.  That’s fine though.  My “column”, if you want to call it, encourages that.  It’s not about having a debate about whether this Twitter app is better than that Twitter app.  It’s about one guy giving his own opinion about a particular product, and letting the community have a say about it as well.

So with that, let the commentary begin.  If you have a comment, rant, or just want to lend your voice, do so in the comments below my articles.  If you’re having a bad day, a bad night, (insert anything negative here), keep it to yourself.  This is about Android; the pros, cons, and opinions from myself, and insight from the community.  Let’s get to it!

Facebook CEO dumps iPhone for Android

August 2nd, 2010 Aaron View Comments

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has switched to Android. Its widely known that he recently publicly denounced the iPhone 3GS on his “Facebook Wall” with issues about battery life, It seems as though he has made the jump to Android. Now where it gets interesting is to see how the Official Facebook app for Android evolves now that he is on board. There are more complaints than one can count when it comes to the Official App for Android, Hopefully this will mean a more usable, more integrated user experience.
